DONNA LEE BROWN

Donna Lee Brown born on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1931 to Arthur and Elizabeth DeAtley in Independence, Missouri. She was one of two children born to this union. Donna married Frank F. Williams, and three children were born to them, Gregory D. Williams, Cynthia G. Williams and Richard D. Williams. After nine years of marriage the couple separated and later divorced.

Donna went to work for Dr. Weff and Klee, Oral Surgeons on the plaza as a surgery assistant. She met and married Herschel Lee Brown in 1966, the love of her life. Herschel was employed with Amoco Oil Co. and was transferred to Texas City, TX in 1982. The couple remained there until Herschel retired in 1995 and then moved back to Missouri to be close to family. They settled in Raymore, Missouri where they became members of First Baptist Church. In November 2000 they moved to Harrisonville, Missouri and in February 2001 learned Herschel was suffering from stage 4 lung cancer. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 10, 2001. Donna moved back to Raymore.

Donna Leaves two children Cynthia Kegerreis (Steve) of Oak Grove, Missouri and Richard Williams of Garden City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tara Kingsbury (Dustin) of Carthage, Missouri, Tracy Kavanagh (Shawn) of Raymore, Missouri, Michelle Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, and Luke Williams of Kansas City, Missouri; and four great grandchildren, and one brother Dr. Carlisle DeAtley (Anh) Kansas City, Missouri.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and son, Gregory D. Williams and one son-in-law Jimmy Golden.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

I am a neighbor of Donna. We laughed that there are 3 Donna's all living in a 3 house triangle on our street. Donna was a beautiful, faithful Christian. She sent me Christian cards with kind and sincere words of hope and comfort. I will miss her.
