Donna Jeanne (Peavey) Chancey, affectionately dubbed "Grana" by her grandkids, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Orlando, Florida in December of 1945, her life was dedicated to her family and friends. She graduated from Lakeview High School and married her husband, Talmadge, in 1964. After working for Walt Disney World and Industrial Engineering, she found joy in being a school crossing guard for the City of Ocoee. All the kids looked forward to seeing Grana each day on the way to and from school.
Donna, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, found pleasure in cooking and sewing for others. She is survived by her son, Louis "Tiger" Chancey (Karen) of Lakeland and son, Robert Chancey (Jennifer) of Ocoee, grandchildren Courtney, Emily and Corey, and her 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis "Talmadge" Chancey of Orlando and parents, Thelbert and Lois Peavey of Winter Garden.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 1400 Matthew Paris Boulevard, Ocoee, Florida 34761. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 12:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Winter Garden Cemetery, 13636 Lake Butler Boulevard, Winter Garden, Florida 34787. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Association of Central Florida (www.parkinsoncf.org/donate) in her name.
