Mrs. Donna Gay White Creel was called home to be with her boys again on July 11, 2025 at age 84.
Donna was born on June 22,1941 to Elmer J. White and Autumn Leeola Parrish White in Blount county. At 15 years old, she married the love of her life, Joel Billy Creel, and together they had two sons, Joe and Ricky.
Donna was a seamstress at Bluebell for many years, but became a homemaker. She loved making quilts, sewing, growing flowers, and spending time with her family. She loved going to all the ball games, music concerts, and awards programs for her grandkids, and she could make the absolute best fried apple pies. Donna loved taking her grandkids on vacation to the Smoky Mountains every summer she could. She would call her friends and sister and gossip for hours, and loved having new shoes. Donna was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed worshiping her Heavenly Father alongside her family and friends.
Donna was the rock of her family. She kept everyone in line, and made sure everyone was taken care of. Her family was her world, her most precious gifts were her great grand babies, and she was our angel on earth. She'll be forever loved, and forever missed.
Donna is survived by her granddaughter; Alexandria Latham (Craig), her grandson; Jonathan Creel, her great-grandchildren; Chloe, Emily, Riley, and Matthew, her sister; Vivian White, brothers; Benny White (Ann), Terry White (Diane), and Wendell White (Virginia), and her best friend since childhood and sister-in-law; Eloise Creel.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband; Joel Billy Creel, her sons; Joe and Ricky Creel, her parents; Elmer and Autumn White, and brothers; J.C., Alton, and Roger White.
A visitation with the family is scheduled for Thursday, July 17th from 5:30p.m. - 7:00p.m. at Holly Pond Funeral Home. A short service will follow at 7:00p.m. The family is having a private burial. Escorting Donna to her final resting place are Jonathan Creel, Craig and Matthew Latham, Justin Reynolds, Darrin Fronk, and Craig Madden.
