Donna Awilda Funderburg passed on June 22nd, 2025, at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas with her family by her side. Donna was born in Waco, Texas on June 4th, 1943, and had just celebrated her 82nd birthday. Donna is survived by her children, Allen Duennenberg and wife, Kellie and their daughter Allie of Boerne, TX; Clinton Duennenberg and wife, Kelly and their children Ashley and Cooper of Junction & Mason, TX; Tina Rex and husband, Stephen of Kingman, Arizona. Beverly Hatley and husband, Jim Bob of Fredericksburg, TX. Nancy Lackey and husband, Charles of San Antonio, TX. She had 6 additional grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. Donna was the oldest child of Donald and Vivian Martha Scott; siblings, Danny Scott and his wife, Loretta of Spicewood, TX; and Ellen Webb of Pearland, TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Funderburg, and her grandchild, Hayden Duennenberg. Donna was greatly loved by all of her family and friends, and we will miss her dearly. Donna held various prestigious positions at universities, banks and law firms through the years. She retired from a full-time position with Ball & Weed, PC, working for Mr. Larry Warren but continued to work part-time for Mr. Ford at Ford Murray, PLLC. Donna moved into an RV after the loss of her dear husband, Norman. She loved to watch her grandchildren play sports throughout the years and more recently she took pride in watching her great-grandson, Kyzer, play football, basketball and baseball. She thoroughly enjoyed trips to the casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi. Donna was selfless and kind-hearted. She enjoyed having conversations with friends and strangers alike. Donna was an incredible cook, and she could whip up the most delicious fried chicken and German chocolate cake.
