Donna Gail Sparks
05/21/1960 - 07/05/2025
Born May 21st of 1960 in Bonham Texas. Daughter of late Homer Glenwood Underwood and Grace Velma Underwood. Preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Michael Underwood. Survived by her sister Jeanie Haar.
Donna married the love of her life, Robert Sparks, in Mesquite Texas where they raised their 5 children together
She is inspiringly remembered by her sons Justin Rose and wife Tori Rose, Derek Rose and wife Kati Rose, Zachary Rose and wife Vanessa Rose, Michael Rose, and daughter Jessica Burrow and husband David Burrow; 6 grandchildren Madison, Peyton, Taytum, Kasen, Gabriella, and Creed; fur-dog Beva
Donna was often referred to as "Momma Donna" and/or "Sparky" but her favorite name was "Nonnie"
She was a firecracker that told you like it was but followed along with the best advice you'd ever receive. But, there were probably a few "F-Bombs" dropped somewhere in between.
The families backbone Donna was devoted to her husband, children, and most importanlty her grandchildren. Her and Robert not only built a beautiful life in Mesquite, they built a life at their lake house where she loved spending weekends and holidays with her family.
Donna was the shoulder you wanted to lean on, and the person you could always count on. She gave the best of all she had to everyone she came across. Nobody around her went without as she always did for anyone before she did for herself. Everyone touched by Donna was spoiled by her and more than likely had a belly full. She loved to cook and made sure everyone was fed.
She was a go-getter, and there was no stopping her. Her work ethic was strong and she instilled that into her family. Donnas work resided at Adesa Dallas & you could often find her initials on a football pot with her co-workers.
You could find Donna in some sort of shopping establishment buying stuff for or shopping with her grand babies. She often joked she wanted to retire& work at a Dollar General - the place you'd most likely run into her at if she was out shopping.
Recently, Donna & Robert started traveling. They enjoyed making memories together from the tops of the mountains to the sands of the ocean. They also share memories from day trips to the casino.
Donna was quite the winner!
