Donna Stansel Obituary

She is survived by her husband, David Stansel; her daughters, Michelle (Lee Laborde) Stansel, Bridget (Jeff) Johnson, and Lisa (Dave) Kuchar; her grandchildren, Brooks, Brady, and Dylan Johnson, Mia and Ryan Kuchar, and Jacob Laborde; her sister, Alberta (Bill) Moore; nephew Justin Moore and nieces Evette Moore and Renee Moore-Adams.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Eva Constantine, son Mark Stansel, nephew Scott Moore, and niece Debbie Moore.
Donna was a math teacher at East Aurora High School and Waubonsee College. She was a musician with the Rhythmaires Band and she served as treasurer for Holy Angels School. Donna was also a member of the Aurora Junior Women's Club, where she served on numerous committees, including co-chair of the Dental Ball. She was in charge of Prestbury's tennis and pool facilities and also began "Breakfast with Santa" at the Prestbury Club House. Donna enjoyed music, tennis, traveling, reading, watching sports and having "family" game nights.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11 AM at The Healy Chapel Sugar Grove, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. A visitation will precede the funeral service, from 10 AM to 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dave and Family,
We are deeply sorry for your loss. Our friendship with the Stansel´s began when David met Lisa and marriage followed. Through the years we shared life, especially the joys of grand parenting.

To Dave and family: Cal and I are so sorry for your loss. Donna was a dear person and friend. We spent over 30 years doing things together-dinners and Cubs´ games in particular. We know how much she will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
