Heavenly Father, we thank you with grateful hearts for taking our loved one, Donna Kay (Pollat) Veal, home to your heavenly kingdom, on June 29, 2025. She now has received all the healing she faithfully prayed for! Thank you for your mercy and grace. Amen.
Donna came to know the Lord at the age of 40 and remained dedicated to her faith. She had a very eventful life and lived in many places, making friends everywhere. Her most recent home was in Chappell, Nebraska.
All are invited to attend her service on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 1:00 P.M., at Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Julesburg, Colorado. Burial service to follow in Lodgepole, Nebraska at Czech Slovensky Cemetery.
Donna was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on January 30, 1954, to Lloyd and Alice (Casteal) Pollat. She graduated from Scottsbluff high school in 1972 and later achieved a 4-year degree in criminal Justice. However, Donna began her career as a truck driver with PepsiCo in 1980 and over the years drove for Tri-Mac and Sandbox.
After retirement she enjoyed working part time and volunteered at the animal shelter. Donna was more than passionate about riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, being in the great outdoors and spending time with MANY cherished friends and family. Donna would be pleased to know that her beloved dogs Pookie and Sara will lay in eternal rest alongside her.
Donna suffered much grief in her life. The death of her parents and her only sibling James Pollat. Also, her foster mother and sister, Alice and Patty Burgess. Her first husband and love of her life, Daniel Klingenberg (Buffalo) also preceded her.
However, many loved ones remain and will miss her deeply. To name only a few, Donna is survived by her sister-in-law and niece Rhonda Pollat and Ashlee Runge. Brenda and Judy Klingenberg and Sheila Cook, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, all of whom remain from her marriage to Buffalo.
