Donna Zuchowski Obituary

Donna Kay (Hamstra) Zuchowski, age 64, of Hebron, formerly of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
Donna was born on June 9, 1961, in Rensselaer, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Susie (DeYoung) Hamstra. She graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, Class of 1979. On July 20, 1985, she married the love of her life, Mark Zuchowski. They spent 40 years weaving faith and family into the foundation of their lives.
As a loving homemaker, Donna invested deeply in the happiness and comfort of her family. In addition, Donna worked as an athletic secretary for 17 years at Kankakee Valley High School. She was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church of DeMotte. Donna loved to garden and spend time camping with family and friends. Her greatest joy though was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her husband, Mark Zuchowski; children: Kevin (Shelley) Zuchowski, Pam (Mike) Van Schouwen; 6 grandchildren; brother: Alvin (Nancy) Hamstra and brother-in-law: Bruce (Diana) Zuchowski.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Brenda and Mike Hamstra.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 3:00 until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM with Roger DeYoung officiating. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery.
