Donnell Duane Martin, age 54 of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025.
He was born on April 30, 1971, in Manhattan, the son of Donnell "Donnie" and Dorothy (King) Martin. Duane lived a life full of passion and camaraderie, leaving behind cherished memories for all who knew him.
Duane will be remembered as a dedicated truck driver for Hammes Trucking and previously for Mac Thompson Trucking. His work ethic and commitment to his profession were a testament to his character. Outside of work, he found joy in the thrill of dirt track racing, tractor pulls, and NASCAR, often sharing those exhilarating moments with family and friends.
He is survived by his partner, Lindsey Holcomb of St. Joseph, MO; two sons, Donnell Reece Martin of St. Joseph, MO and Riley Rose of St. Joseph, MO; two sisters, Laurie Schwerdt of Manhattan and Deborah (Paul) Woodyard of Manhattan, and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home. Please dress in casual attire and wear your favorite racing or trucking shirt. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will be in the Milford Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Duane Martin Memorial Fund and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
