Dorathy Stamper Obituary

Dorathy (Dottie) Ann Page Stamper, age 95 of Chino, formerly of Brea, California, passed away October 17th at St Jude Hospital, Fullerton California. Born in 1930 in Redlands California to Edward Broughton Page and Elizabeth Marie Lind Page, she was a top student throughout her schooling and aspired to be a fashion designer. In 1951 she met the love of her life – Sgt Fred C Stamper of Anniston, Alabama who was stationed at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino - on a blind date. They raised two daughters and were married an amazing 72 years. Dottie was a dedicated homemaker, gardener and quiltmaker. All her grandchildren have a special quilt made by her, enhanced by her artistic eye for contrast and color, each one treasured gift made by her hand. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Sardell (Glenn) of Oregon, Robin Stamper VanderTuig (Gary) of Ontario, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in the summer of 2024. A memorial service will be held on Monday November 3rd at Riverside Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
