Doris M. Caldwell, 96 of Ravenna, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab in Ravenna, Ohio. Doris was born in Ravenna to her late parents Lloyd Edward Porter and Ruby (Ruckman) Baker on October 22, 1927. She lived most of her life in Ravenna, working in sales at the Crystal Wholesale, also as an inspector at Lamb Electric in Kent during WWII, and was a member of the First Christian Church. Following retirement, she and her husband spent their winters in Florida and traveling the Unites States. She was a member of the Ravenna Boat Club, VFW Auxiliary, Christian Women's Fellowship, Jr. Women's Club and Red Hats. She volunteered her time at Hattie Larlham, a board member for the Preventorium, a sunday school teacher and the Annavar Little Theatre. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Caldwell, whom she married in 1944 and was the love of her life for 70 years, passed away on February 1, 2015, her son James Caldwell II, and sister Betty Hardesty. She is survived by her children Cynthia Cline, Lynn Walker and Suzanne (Tracy) Tinker, grandchildren Andrew (Aileen) Walker, Kaitlin Walker, Caroline (Wyatt Scheuler) Schmauch, Jacob Schmauch, Stephanie Caldwell, Stacey Caldwell and Lauryn Caldwell, and great grandchildren Jackson Caldwell and Miles Schueler. In honoring Doris' wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial calling hours will be on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 2:00PM until time of memorial service at 3:00PM at the First Christian Church in Ravenna.
