Doris Farmer Obituary

Romeo Colorado resident Doris Ann (Freeman) Farmer, 90 yo, joined our Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025. Doris was born on August 21st, 1934 in Arkansas. On February 27th, 1950 Doris was joined in Holy matrimony to her best friend and life partner James William Farmer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed being in her garden, flowers, hummingbirds, fishing, spending time with her cherished family, cooking, mushroom picking, and being up in the mountains of Colorado. Doris preceded in death and welcomed in heaven by her husband James William Farmer, her father Osnie Ray Freeman, her mother Velma Evelyn (Walton) Freeman, granddaughter Melissa Ann (Sisneros) Labato, and cousin Terry Kreamers. Survivors include her two sisters Betty (Freeman) Kremers of Arkansas and Caroline (Freeman) Ashley of Arkansas, her three children Judy Ann (Farmer) Martinez of Ortiz, Colorado, Ronald Eugene Farmer and Lucy Mae (Shultz) Farmer of Manassa, Colorado, and Brenda Rena (Farmer) Lucero and Paul Cristobal Lucero of Ortiz, Colorado, and 5 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa Colorado and Brotherton Bros Funeral Home in Paris Arkansas.
