Doris Elaine Hodroff was born January 22, 1927, in New Richmond WI, the only child of Hulda & Theodore Childs. Preceded in death by husband of 44 years, Leo. Survived by nieces Shirajoy Abry (Arthur Christofferson), Tamar Abry, and Nan Shaw; and nephew Joel Hodroff. After coming to Minneapolis, she attended the Minnesota School of Business and the University of Minnesota. For 30 years, she worked with her husband at L. H. Kellogg Chemical Company as the Sales and Advertising Manager. Her favorite pastimes were tennis, golf, bridge, and communing with nature. An avid reader, she enjoyed her monthly book club. The Hodroffs were known as preeminent collectors of Chinese Export porcelain and established galleries at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Weisman Museum, the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington DE, the Norton Museum in Palm Beach FL, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Burial was at Temple Israel Memorial Park.
