Doris Elaine Holth died peacefully, June 15, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born April 8, 1926 to Catherine and George Frye. She married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Holth, on November 1, 1947. They were happily married for nearly 75 years until his death in 2022. She is survived by her daughter Christine, son Michael (Vicki), granddaughter Emily, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Irene (Robert) Ordowski.
She spent her life in Port Huron, Michigan. She enjoyed a long and happy life with her husband, family, and friends. With them, she liked boating and swimming in Lake Huron and downriver, and enjoyed their cabin built in the woods in northern Michigan. She worked for several years as a seamstress with her niece, Carol, making custom draperies, creating coordinating pillows, cushions, and table linens for clients in the area.
She had a friendly manner and ready wit, displaying her kindness and her sense of humor to her last day. A loving wife and wonderful mother, she was appreciated for her positive attitude and common sense. Her long life was a blessing for family and friends who were fortunate enough to enjoy her company.
A private service with family was held at Grace Episcopal Church. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Port Huron and Blue Water Hospice Home, Marysville.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Doris, please visit our Tree Store.
