Doris Jones Obituary

Doris Jean Jones, 82, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, in Rhome, TX. She was born December 1, 1942, in Aubrey, TX, to John William and Myrtie Agnes (Harvey) Ransberger. She was married to Walter Jack Jones for 40 years. Doris is survived by one son, Wesley Jones of Azle, TX; two daughters, Lisa Jones and Tracie Lyons of Rhome, TX; four grandchildren, Sean Lyons, Brittany Lyons, Avery Jones, and Wyatt Jack Jones; three brothers, Jimmy Ransberger of Boyd, TX, Billy Jack Ransberger of Hurst, TX, and Jeffery Ransberger of Watauga, TX; and fur baby, Mila. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtie; husband, Walter Jack; two sisters, her twin, Jerrel Spencer, and Johnnie Weaver. Visitation for Doris is Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A Funeral service will be held Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00AM at Slay Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Tyson Cemetery in Valley View, TX. Pallbearers for Doris are Derek Ransberger, Danny Spencer, Darrin Spencer, Cody Spencer, Brendan Harms, and Joe Mack Patterson.
