Doris Loretta Newby, 85, of Pattonsburg, MO passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at a Liberty, MO hospital.
Loretta was born June 9, 1939 in Yakima, Washington the daughter of Manford Truman and Berniece Lucille (Dennis) Todd.
She was a graduate of Forsyth High School then moved to Kansas City and met J. T. Newby at Hallmark Cards. On July 21, 1961, she married J. T. Newby in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.
Loretta worked at the Pattonsburg Cap Factory and she also was a book binder for a printing company. She was of Christian Faith. She was a member of the Pattonsburg First Baptist Church and also attended the Christian Church in Pattonsburg, MO.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Alan and Richard Todd.
Survivors in addition to her husband, J. T., are daughters, Marquitta Brown (Brent), Michele Valencia (Roberto), Valerie Ring (Guy) and Sandra Carter Gallus (Tony); grandchildren, Mindi Carter (Tom), Amanda Owen (Jeff), Ricky Carter (Jenny), Nikki Baker (Adam), Carsley Crabtree (Katie), Liam Ring (Michelle), Jamie Smith (Jeff), Emryk Ring (Kalyn) and Kelsey Brown (Brandt); 20 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Burial will follow in the Civil Bend Christian Cemetery, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Pattonsburg Senior Center in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 152, Pattonsburg, MO 64670. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
