Mrs. Sra was born June 29, 1945, in San Pedro de Macoris of the Dominican Republic to Mercedes Arias and Manuel Francisco Arias Acosta. Growing up in Santo Domingo under the tumultuous Trujillo regime she recognized the escape of hard work. At the young age of 18 she moved to New York with her sisters and learned as many skills as possible to survive. She became a skilled seamstress, got promoted as an Interior Designer and became a jack of many other trades.
In the late seventies she moved to Illinois, entering Morton College to learn Computer Programming while working at Lions Clubs International as an interpreter and translator. She thrived working for this club. Working side by side with gifted linguists to assist those in need all over the world.
A great and loving woman with a warm heart, she adored her children with a fierce passion. She loved to sing, to cook for those she loved.
Survivors include husband: Kuldeep Singh Sra. Son; Randeep Sra and his wife Sarah. Adopted Daughter: Mandeep Kaur. Stepsons: Dylan Sran and Gagandeep Sran.
Step Grandchildren: Arianna and Kyran Sran.
Visitation will start at 9:30AM on Friday July 25, 2025 at Beidelman -
Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr., Naperville IL. Interfaith Catholic and Sikh services will begin at 10AM. Interment Private
