Doris Jean (Richardson) Phillips, age 67, resident of Coweta, OK, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on April 9, 1958, in Longview, CA to Clyde Eugene and Mary Maybell (Lane) Richardson. Doris's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and her dedication to caring for others.
Doris attended Broken Arrow schools in Broken Arrow, OK. Her nurturing spirit led her to a fulfilling career as a nurse aide at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK. There, she touched the lives of many with her compassion and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on both colleagues and those in her care.
Family was the cornerstone of Doris's life. She found her soulmate in Jimmy Gene Phillips, and their love story was one for the ages. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and an ever-growing family. Doris is survived by her three sons, Jimmy Phillips and wife Jennell, Boyd Phillips, and Clyde Phillips and wife Terri, all of Coweta, OK; her ten grandchildren, Morgan, Jessica, Dillan, Bailey, Nick, Lillie, Caleb, Jimmy David, Michael, and Alicia; her two great-grandchildren, River and Roper; her two sisters, Katie Shepherd of Tahlequah, OK and Teresa Richardson of Tulsa, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Gene Phillips, her parents, Clyde Eugene and Mary Maybell Richardson, and her brother, John Richardson.
Doris's love for her grandkids was unparalleled, and she often said they were her greatest accomplishments.
Her gentle soul and the love she spread will be remembered always, as she rests in peace knowing she was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
While there are no services planned at this time, Doris's life will be celebrated in the memories shared by family and friends.
