Doris Rochner Obituary

Doris West Rochner of Redfield, Arkansas, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the wise age of 92. At just 19 years old, she married the late John Frank Rochner, Sr., and over time, she became the cherished matriarch of the Rochner family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rochner, Sr.; her son, Jimmy Rochner; and two granddaughters, Ryan Ann Summerhill and Alexis Hamilton.
She is survived by 4 of her sons: John Rochner, Jr. (Barbara) of White Hall, Larry Rochner (Michelle) of Naylor, Lewis Rochner of Redfield, Mark Rochner (Jennifer) of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Daughter-In-Love, Vicky Rochner, Chae Rochner and Terri Lee.
Her grandchildren include: Joshua Rochner, Jessica Cearley (Carl), Noah Rochner (KiLee), Tye Rochner (Allie), Annie Rochner, Joseph Ryan Ruesewald (Megan), Caleb Rochner, Rachel Rochner, Matt Hawkins, Dylan Hawkins and Abby Hawkins. And great-grandchildren: Skylar, Emma, Lilly, Paisley, Londyn, Asher, Jonah, Gus, Riley, Ava, Henry, Reed, Calla, Ridge and one on the way. Doris is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all those who were blessed to know her.
A devoted Christian, Doris lived a life anchored in her faith. As a long-standing member of South Side Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, her steadfast love for Jesus Christ was evident to all who knew her. Even in life's most difficult seasons, she never lost hope and continually reminded others of God's promises. Her legacy is one of strength, compassion, and unwavering belief in the Lord.
Affectionately known as "Granny" or "Granny Rock," Doris was the heart of her family and a cornerstone in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She helped raise not only her children but also lovingly nurtured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a constant, calming presence-always offering guidance, comfort, and a plate of something homemade.
Doris was known far and wide for her southern cooking. Her home was the gathering place for big family meals, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her legendary chocolate pies and holiday feasts brought loved ones together year after year. Family, friends, and neighbors were always welcome at her table, where there was plenty of love and laughter.
A memorial service to honor Doris's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 11th, at First Baptist Church of White Hall.
