Doris Slater 1940 – 2025
Doris Slater, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Her grace, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on October 2, 1940, Doris grew up with a passion for life and an innate sense of style that would define her both personally and professionally. A resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, for most of her life, Doris was a trailblazing realtor who built an extraordinary career, earning respect and admiration throughout her community. Her impeccable taste and keen eye for detail were unmatched. These qualities extended far beyond her professional life and into the warm and welcoming home she created for her family and friends.
Doris was married for 64 years to Warren Slater, who sadly passed away just a few months prior. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and enduring memories. They loved to travel and always made friends along the way.
Predeceased by her son Tarn, Doris is survived by her sister Patricia, her children, Jill & her husband Chris as well as Chad & his wife Tara. Her granddaughter Kelly was the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with her and watching her grow.
Known for her love of entertaining, Doris had a special gift for bringing people together. Whether hosting elegant dinners or casual get-togethers, she was happiest with those she cared about around her. Her warmth and generosity extended to all who entered her home, making them feel cared for and celebrated.
A celebration of Doris's life will be held on February 22, 2025, at 11:30am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to share memories and honor her life from 10:00am until 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to Spondylitis Association of America.
Doris Slater will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her elegance and love for her family & friends will continue to inspire all who knew her.
