Doris Tucker Obituary

Doris Ann Tucker of Waynesville MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the age of 88.
Doris was born on January 10, 1937, to the late Roy Harold Dungan and Ruby Jewell (Schular) Dungan. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her two brothers, David Dungan and Douglas Dungan.
Doris spent her career teaching; both in the St. Louis area and in the Waynesville school district. She had many hobbies and talents. Doris enjoyed doll collecting and watching old westerns. She was an artistic and creative person and enjoyed drawing, painting, and writing. Most of all, Doris loved spending time with her family and friends.
Doris will be greatly missed by her surviving family, which includes her son, Mark Tucker, and wife, Sue of Rolla, MO; daughter, Michelle Gallagher of Waynesville, MO; Sisters, Donna Toler and husband, Tommy of Richland, MO, Dana Pittman and husband, Steve of Foley, MO, and Darla Beach and husband Tom of St Charles, MO; and three grandchildren, Zack Tucker and husband, Jun Xie, Logan Gallagher, and Emily Gallagher, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Doris Ann Tucker will be conducted on Saturday, February 8, 2025, beginning at 12 noon at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:30 am. Interment will directly follow the service at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Doolittle, MO.
The family kindly asks that everyone wear purple if they can, to support others with Alzheimer's.
