Dorothy G. Hensley, 91, of Monroe City, Indiana, passed away on January 17, 2024, in Monroe City.
She was born on September 17, 1932, to the late Lester & Wilma Kline in Florida.
Dorothy attended the First Church of God in Monroe City, IN. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, mowing her yard and making sure it was well manicured, watching westerns on TV (especially Walker Texas Ranger), and baking homemade pies for the people she loved. She worked as a nurse's aide at Good Samaritan Hospital for 10 years, and eventually worked as a clerk for the Package Store in Petersburg up until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Hensley, whom cared for and served her mother diligently; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester, and Wilma; two sisters; three brothers; and one grandson, Eric Hensley.
A graveside burial will be on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10:30am at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Online condolences may be shared at goodwinsieversfh.com.

Her first memory would be when I was born. MY first memory is as a small child. I miss her hugs, her laugh and love. She made my life wonderful. Love you forever, grandma.
