Mrs. Dorothy Faye Hutchins was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to Willie L. Steele and Ruth Steele on January 2, 1959. After a vibrant and full life, Mrs. Hutchins peacefully moved from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Singing River Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ruth Steele, grandparents Frank and Angie Steele, Jessie and Virdia Love.
Mrs. Hutchins was a member of Solomon Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, serving in the kitchen on Wednesday Night for Christian Education, the Children and Youth Bible Study. She loved cooking for her family and for any one that need catering for special functions (retirement, birthday, etc.)
She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband, Terry Hutchins. One son, Dawaiian (Erica) Hutchins, of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Letitia (Antwan) Brown of Perry, GA and Miyako Hutchins of Moss Point, MS. Step-Son, Tremayne William of Alabama. Six brother, Willie (Beverly) Steele, DeWayne Steele, and Edward Steele of Moss Point, MS, Moran Steele and Ronnie Steele, of Pascagoula, MS, Kelly (Tynita) Steele, of Gautier, MS. Two sisters, Shirley Broughton of Moss Point, MS, and Angela (Samuel) of Leonard, Quitman, GA. Two Brother-in-Law, Michael Hutchins of Pascagoula, MS, and Walter Hutchins of Atlanta, GA. Thirteengrandchildren, Devion Cortez Packer, Aniyah Dior Hutchins, Legacy Ali Hutchins, DawaiianCortez Hutchins, Jr., Cortez King Hutchins, Jacobi Franklin, Dallas, TX; Antwan Amajaye Brown, Elicia Brown, Mikhala Brown, Azaleia Brown, Perry, GA, Tremayne Williams, Jr., Tremiyah Williams, Tre'drick Williams of Alabama. Two uncle, Roy (Betty) Love, of Othello, WA, James (Barbara) Love, of Moss Point, MS, aunts, Catherine Benn, of Moss Point, MS. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
