Dorothy and John loved playing pitch every Saturday night with John's cousins Bill (Cora) Kaus and Carol (Mike) Miller. She and John loved to go cruising out of Galveston and they visited a lot of countries in the Caribbean, many of which were with their son Bob and his family. On one cruise, they met a couple, John and Kendra, from Louisiana and became good friends with them. In 2010, they bought a house in Gilbert, AZ, where their son, Paul and his family lived and in 2017, they moved to Arizona and settled in Queen Creek.
