Publish in a newspaper
Funeral service will be Friday, at 2PM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dorothy made her home in Vanceboro, and was employed with DuPont in Kinston for 45 years when she retired. She resided with her son, Keith and daughter-in-law, Faye for the last 31 years.
Dorothy enjoyed her trips to White Lake, shopping and eating. She always loved Christmas and looked forward to buying gifts for her family.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Lewis and Carrie Lewis, and a brother, and four sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Keith Wetherington and wife, Faye of Vanceboro, and Kerry Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia; and
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
