Douglas W. Bass II of Asbury Park N.J, passed away peacefully at Jersey Shore Medical, Neptune N.J on March 1st, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Douglas was born on March 3rd 1968 at Fitkins Hospital Neptune N.J to the late Douglas and Bernice Bass. Douglas was Educated in the Neptune school system, and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. Affectionally known as Wayne, He loved to cook, loved bowling and telling jokes with everyone he came in contact with. He was a cook for many years at the Seminary in Cincinnati Ohio. Upon his return to New Jersey, he worked at Home Depot Neptune NJ, for15yrs, and after leaving Home Depot, he went on to work for J&D transportation until he became disabled.
He was preceded in death by his: Wife, Tumora L. Bass, his Father, Douglas W. Bass, his mother, Bernice P. Bass, his sister, Vanessa F. Bass, and Son, Michael D. Hicks.
He leaves to Mourn and cherish his memories: Sons, Trevon Bass, Douglas Bass III of Asbury Park N.J; Nieces/ daughters, Shaniqua Bass, Shontae Bass, of Asbury Park N.J; Uncle, Sylvester Bass & Aunt, Janet Bass of Delaware; Sister Daphene Johnson of Greensboro NC; Great Nephews / grandsons Marquis, Angelo, and Joseph; Great Neice / Granddaughter Kiara, Khalani; Step Children Troy, and Tatianna; Step sisters Rosetta Johnson, Darlene Johnson; Step Brother Michael Johnson; And a host of Cousins Family and Friends
