Douglas Brian Reames was born to the late Wilson and Oletha (Canada) Reames on April 8th, 1953. He was born and lived in Mikado, MI. then moved to Alger MI. Doug passed away on July 10th, 2025, in his home. He is married to Gloria (Krauss) Reames. They were married for 53 wonderful years.
He worked at Dow Chemical until he retired, then he started his own business company called Doug's R Builders. He owned his own company up until the day he got diagnosed with fast rapid lung cancer.
Doug loved to hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He truly loved his trips to Canada hunting with his cousin Mike Reames. He was a very proud man in everything that he has accomplished in his life. He loved his family and friends very dearly.
He is survived by his wife Gloria (Krauss) Reames and his 2 children. Tina (Reames) and James Farley and Michelle (Reames) and Keith Perrow.
Doug is survived by several siblings. (Deceased) Dennis and Kay Reames, Marcia (Reames) and Stash Waszkiewicz, Kurt and Pam Reames, Claudia and Bob Pitt, (Deceased) Paula Reames, Steven Reames. Doug is also survived by 5 grandchildren Allison (Farley) Haskill, Hailey Giddings, Cameron Farley, Zachary Perrow, Ashley Perrow, and Cassandra Perrow. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren Zoey, Shalynn, Maddie, Kayden, and Landen.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Per Doug's wishes cremation has taken place and has entrusted arraignments to be handled by Lee Ramsay Funeral Home Standish.
