It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Drevon Michael Rawson, who was born on Friday, June 1, 2001, in Farmington and tragically left this world on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Drevon was only 24 years old at the time of his untimely death.
Drevon was a vibrant soul, known for his passion for basketball and sports. He thrived in the company of his friends, where laughter and brotherhood filled the air. He loved to engage in discussions about sports, where his enthusiasm was unmatched. As a devoted brother, he embodied the essence of family, always being there for his siblings and proudly standing as their keeper.
Fashion was an important part of Drevon’s identity. He took pride in his unique style, often showcasing his love for clothes and shoes not just as a form of expression, but as a reflection of his personality. Music was another passion that resonated with him, providing a soundtrack to his cherished moments.
Drevon is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Markwick and paternal grandfather- Leaman Carol Rawson, one cousin, Kilynn Hendrix.
Drevon leaves behind his father and mother, Leaman Rawson and Brandy Markwick who will forever hold him close in memory and heart. Two brothers, Lamarion Markwick and Jodice Rawson; Paternal grandmother Iva Hendrix; one Uncle Billy (Cherylinda) Hendrix; two Aunts, Patty Markwick and Amber (Anthony) Barton; three cousins, Colton, Emma and Aubree Hendrix. Along with other family members and close friends. He touched the lives of many, and his spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Friday July 18, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until service time of 1:00 P.M. with Pastor James Parker officiating. Burial to follow at Buster Cemetery in Valles Mines.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home to help Drevon’s family with funeral expenses. In this time of deep loss, we invite everyone to share memories, stories, and the love that Drevon brought into our lives.
Though his time with us was far too short, Drevon Michael Rawson will be remembered for the light he brought into every room, and for every life he touched with his passionate spirit. May he rest in peace.
