Duane Anthony ("Tony") Bailey was born on June 27, 1935 and passed away peacefully at his home on July 3, 2025. He was the son of the late Harold and Claire Bailey. He is survived by his brother Chuck, his beloved wife of 60 years Melinda, his three children Jay, Janet, and Jill, his six grandchildren Courtney, Ryan, Jack, Shawn, Wiley, and Nora, and his great grandchild Wyatt. Tony was known for his floppy hat, his quick wit, and his generous spirit. Tony took pride in his home and enjoyed mowing the lawn, doing yard work, and feeding wild deer. As a young man, Tony was a star athlete at Drake High School in San Anselmo, California. After graduating from UC Berkeley, Tony coached track at Redwood High School and College of Marin. Upon retirement from coaching in California, Tony moved to Bend, Oregon where he enjoyed playing golf and skiing. Most of all, Tony loved spending time with his grandchildren.
