Duane Lee Byrd, 62, of Ebro, MN died on Monday, June 30, 2025, at his home in Ebro, Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a time of sharing starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, Minnesota.
Duane was born on May 28, 1963, to parents Owen Beaulieu and Marie Byrd in Bagley, Minnesota. In 1965 the family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and continued to reside until Duane enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1982. He was blessed with two beautiful children, a son, Russell and a daughter, Amber. Duane worked at a various number of jobs but primarily worked for a moving company and did carpentry work. In 2000, he moved back to the Bagley area and resided in Ebro. He was the type of person you could count on for anything, he was kind and had a generous and caring soul. Duane enjoyed going to the casino, listening to music, hanging out with friends, riding around on his side-by-side, and was a huge animal lover. He will be missed by everyone that had the opportunity to know him and be part of his life.
He is survived by his children-Russell and Amber.
Sister-Andrea Byrd of Minneapolis, MN. and his brother-Kenny Wade of Bagley, MN.
1-Grandchild and 1-Great Grandchild and his fur baby Mahkwa.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts-Cece Byrd, JoAnne Wade, Josephine Johnson, Daisy Auginaush and numerous cousins.
