Duane Greenhoe Obituary

Duane Elmer Greenhoe of Ionia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the age of 89.
Duane was born on October 16, 1935, the son of Kenneth and Elaine (Blank) Greenhoe. In June 1955, he married his loving wife Jean Ann Pitchford, and together they raised a family of six children.
Duane was a lifelong farmer but worked a short time for the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons, Michigan. His love of farming continues through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Duane is survived by his children, Stephen (Sandy) Greenhoe, Rebecca (Joseph) Altoft, David Greenhoe, Douglas (Kathy) Greenhoe, Christopher Greenhoe and Ann Greenhoe and husband Kris Lawless, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean, his parents, sisters Janey Thompson and Marilyn Colver, Jean's parents Williams and Gladys (Rier) Pitchford, brother-in-law Claude Thomas, sister-in-law Delma Pitchford and two nieces.
Duane will be remembered for his love of vintage John Deere tractors.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Sheridan, Michigan.
