Duane Uttke Obituary

Duane was born on February 4, 1940 to the late Adolph and Martha (Kratt) Uttke in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduation from high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force Reserves from 1958 to 1962. Later, he worked for many years as a machinist. Duane met Pauline and the couple married and after a full life in Milwaukee moved to Henrietta, Texas.
While living in Wisconsin, he was life member and Past Commander of P.L.A.V. Post 49, a member of AMVET Post 4, and a member and past commander of American Legion Post 27. Also, Duane was a member and Past President of the Milwaukee Veterans Council, a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and a life member of the NRA. After settling in Henrietta, Duane was a member of the Lake Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department and Lake Arrowhead Baptist Church. He loved his horses, riding his Harley Davidson, an advocate Republican and was an avid gun owner. Also, he was a neighborhood watchman. Duane and Pauline spent many years together before Pauline's heart-breaking passing. Duane will be missed by many friends and family.
Along with his wife, parents, Duane was preceded in death by his beloved pets, Georgie and Shadow.
He is survived by two sons, David Uttke and wife, Deborah and Daniel Uttke; step-daughter, Dawn Engelbart and husband, Glenn; three grandchildren, Zachary Uttke, Grace Engelbart and Audrey Engelbart; and many other loved family and friends.
