Dural Lundy Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Davis, Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Henrietta with Rev. Bettye Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Petrolia Cemetery.
Slim was born on February 6, 1937 in Yuba, Oklahoma to the late EJ and Eloise (Dollar) Lundy. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He went to work as a truck driver for Central Freight, retiring after 35 years, and then drove a bus for Petrolia schools, as well as Midwestern State University.
He was a 50-year member of Henrietta Masonic Lodge #454. Slim might have been a little ornery according to his family, his love of picking on people, and always having something to say tested their patience with him daily. Slim also loved to eat, especially his Magic Lemon Pie. Most of all, he loved his family in his own (some call it sandpaper) way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Therese Michael; granddaughter Tamia Michael; and brothers Jimmy Lundy and Mitchell Lundy.
He is survived by his daughters, Marchuetta Matthews and husband Chris, and Laverne Gibson and husband Pat; grandchildren Tiffani Branch and husband Quinton, Jordan Stubblefield and husband Eric, David Gibson, Tia Michael, and Jody Matthews and wife Kaylee; five great-grandchildren; brother Dwight Lundy; wife Jackie; plus bonus step-children and grands; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
