Dwayne Daub, 69, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 02, 2025, at the Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Dwayne was born on August 13, 1955, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Shirley (Queen) Burgdorf and the late Earl Daub. Dwayne was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. He worked as a plumber for Hoffman Plumbing for many years before going to work as an over-the-road truck driver until his health would no longer allow him to work. Dwayne enjoyed car racing, especially NASCAR, watching sports, Reitz High School football and watching his niece and nephews in their activities.
Surviving Dwayne are his mother, Shirley (Queen) Burgdorf; a daughter, Crystal (Chuck) Smith; sisters, Debbie (Dave) Thomas and Heather (Scott) Herrenbruck; a niece, Tayte Herrenbruck; nephews, Pierce Herrenbruck and Brian Dunn; stepsisters, Mitzi (Dan) Granderson and Cindy Cain, and grandchildren, Tighe, Kaylie, Mykaella and Brayden.
In addition to his father, Dwayne was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jerry Burgdorf, sister, Cheryl Ingle; brother, Randall Daub, and stepbrother, "Little" Jerry Burgdorf.
Funeral services for Dwayne will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 05, 2025, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating.
Dwayne's family extends a special thank you to his aunt, Millie Knight and cousin, Karla Niehaus for their support and help with Dwayne and to the staffs of Deaconess Hospital Midtown and Gateway campuses, as well as the Linda E. White Hospice House for all of their kind and compassionate care.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM until service time on Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linda E. White Hospice House, 611 Harriett Street, Evansville, IN 47710.

I was so sorry to hear about Dwayne´s passing. I worked with him at Mercury sports. He was a very nice person, and always helpful to the newbie, who was me. My deepest condolences to Brian and the rest of his family.
