E. WAYNE THOMAS
Age 92, of Crest Hill, entered into his heavenly home on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 at Lightways Hospice House in Joliet.
Wayne is survived by his loving family, wife of 70 years, Barbara A. Thomas (Rex), daughters, Lisa J. (Gary) Beins, Mary Beth Thomas, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Owen G. & Mary H. Thomas (Davies), son, Kevin Thomas and sister Lavinia Swann.
Wayne was a United States Army Veteran and retired from IBM after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Joliet American Legion Band and member of “RVICS” Roving Volunteers in Christ Service for 10 years. Wayne served as the Choir Director at Hazel Crest United Methodist Church in earlier years and recently attended Faith Bible Church in Joliet for 15 years and served as the Choir Director there as well.
A Memorial Service will be held for Wayne on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00AM at Faith Bible Church, Joliet, IL.
