Earl Semmie Harrison was born in Anderson County on February 3rd, 1940 to the late Thompson and Annie Hamilton Harrison.
Earl was married to the late Roberta Ladd Harrison. He was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. He retired from Singer (Ryobi) Company after many years of service.
Earl was a sharp dresser and was known for his hats. He had a great personality and he never met a stranger. He was recognized for talking and his handsome smile. Earl was an avid cook. He loved making delicious meals, especially banana pudding and homemade wine. He also loved fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Michael E. Harrison (Dorothy) of Anderson, SC, Dr. Rodney V. Harrison (Jakkie) of Columbia, SC, and Shaun Harrison (Amanda) of Williamston, SC; seven grandsons, Mykhal, Jarvis (Harini), Drayton, Markus, Malik (Isabelle), Jaylen, and Ember Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Slade, Kyri, and Vanan-Thayer Harrison; one brother, George A. Harrison of Anderson, SC; and a host of relatives.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Pearl Harrison and one brother, Elijah Harrison.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Public viewing on Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
