Mr. Eddie James "Jamie" JJ Walker Jr., age 52, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Summerdale, Alabama. He was born on January 14, 1972, to the late Eddie James (Wanda Burt) Walker Sr. Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Jamie had been living in Loxley, Alabama, for the past 15 years. He was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and shared his love for music with others as a talented musician, bass player, and songwriter. Jamie was perhaps best known as a member of The Midnight Confessions Band in Nolan's Gulf Shores, where he played alongside many famous artists. He brought joy to everyone around him with his humor and infectious laughter.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Jamie had a passion for cars, recently restoring a 1979 Chevy Camaro with his best friend, Burt Whitmire. He loved the thrill of drag strip and dirt track racing, often seen with his "On the War Path" sponsored vehicle. Fishing was another one of his favorite pastimes, and you could often find him spending time at the Fairhope Pier, hoping for a good catch. Together with his wife, he led a nonprofit micro grocery store called Walker's Table & Pantry in Loxley, AL, helping their community while showcasing Jamie's caring spirit. Jamie will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jeanie Marie Walker of Loxley, Alabama; sister Michelle Walker of Molino, Florida; close friend, Burt & Josie Whitmire of Foley, Alabama; multiple stepbrothers & step- sisters; special cousins that were more like siblings and many close friends
