Eddie Wiss Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 30, 2024.
HURST - Eddie Lou "Happy" Simonton-Wiss, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 22, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Happy was born December 17, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1961. She went on to have a successful career as a computer programmer in the oil and gas field. She was lovingly referred to as "Nana" by family and close friends.
Happy loved her family more than anything and was the root that kept us strong. She always had our back when we needed support, cheered us on in our successes, carried us through tough times, and laughed with us (and only occasionally at us) during our silliest slip-ups. No matter what, she helped us live well, laugh hard and love every moment with her.
Though she is gone from this world, Happy touched countless lives with her compassion and love. She will be remembered by all who met her for her incredible smile, kindness, dedication to her family, and her generous and loving nature.
Happy is survived by her son, Terry; daughter, Angel; grandchildren, Kayla, Shayla, Ashton and Hanna; great-grandchildren, Emma, Ella, Bella and Julie.
She will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
