Edith Kay Ferguson Moates, age 84 of Crossett, AR passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1940 in Hamburg, AR to Daniel Ely and Annie Lee Smith Ferguson.
Edith was a great cook and enjoyed gardening and shopping for antiques. She had an eye for beautiful things and would seek them out.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Annie Ferguson; one brother, Daniel Ferguson; one son, Eli Stanley and her husband, Leonard Moates.
Her memory will forever be cherished by four daughters, Kay Anthony of Crossett, AR and Tracy Harville (Bobby), Barbara Craig (Steve) and Gail Matthews (Coleman) all of Hamburg, AR; five grandchildren, Erin Denman (Will) of North Little Rock, Chris Ray (Krystal) of Jonesboro Hodge, LA, Blake Harville of Hamburg, AR, Danna Craig and Megan Zeigler (Chance), both of Crossett, AR and Logan Matthews of Fayetteville, AR; thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chance Zeigler officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior, at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers are Chris Ray, Coleman Matthews, Bobby Harville, Steve Smith, Blake Harville, Steve Craig.
Committal will be in Sims Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.
