Edna Jernigan Obituary

Edna Rowena Jernigan, 92, formerly of Pottsboro, Texas passed away peacefully into eternal life Monday, July 7, 2025, at The Terrace in Denison, Texas.
Mrs. Jernigan was born August 4, 1932, in Waverly, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer Ray Bruner and Lillie Ann (Bunge) Bruner. On June 8, 1953, Edna married the love of her life, Mr. Charles H. Jernigan at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas. She was a beloved wife and homemaker. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jernigan.
Edna leaves family leaves behind her beloved family, son, James Jernigan and wife, Terri of Carrolton, Texas; daughter, Janet Walton of Denison, Texas, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the staff, especially the nurses, and aides, of The Terrace for the excellent loving care given to their mother for the last eleven years. May God bless you all.
There will be a private burial at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
