Edward Max Dueitt, age 73, of Lucedale passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at home. Mr. Dueitt was born August 13, 1951 in Pascagoula, MS. He is the son of the late George Max and the late Anna (Martin) Dueitt. He married Debra Faye Massey on October 23, 1987.
Mr. Dueitt was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was best known by many people as Mr. Eddie from the Jiffy Mart, but to us, he was so much more. He deeply loved his family and his loyal companion, Tobey Jean. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but nothing brought him more joy than working on a dozer-that was his true passion. Mr. Dueitt was a man who truly exemplified what real love looks like. He was honorable, hardworking, and steady-the kind of man you could always count on. He loved us all deeply, but nothing compared to the love he had for his Debra Faye. He will truly be missed. He leaves behind shoes that will never be filled.
He is survived by his wife: Debra Faye Dueitt; children: Edward Max (Kay) Dueitt Jr., Tammy Breland, Donna (James) Jackson, Rob (Dawn) Burnett, Tye (Brandy) Dueitt Cody (Sara) Dueitt; grandchildren: Rossan (Lindsey) Dueitt, Courtney Breland, Delanna (Tyler) Gravley, Patrick (Samantha) Jackson, Jake (DeAnn) Jackson, Josh (Amber) Jackson, Chasity (Zachery) Eubanks, Robby (Courtney) Burnett, Daren (Kayedrianne) Burnett, Garrett Burnett, Lela Burnett, Gaige Cooley, Hailey Cooley, Kevin Cooley, Clayton Dueitt, Blaine Dueitt, and Madison Dueitt; great grandchildren; Lynden Dueitt, Banks Dueitt, Saybri Burnett, Mallory Eubanks, Tynlee Eubanks, Braxton Eubanks, Lil Bam Burnett, Ava Vereen, Cody Vereen, Colton Cooley, and Evelyn Vereen; sisters: Deborah Dial, Pat (Darrell) Kelley, Barbara (Gerald) Pugh, Carrianna (Randy) Hicks, and Beverly Beard; mother-in-law, Maude Massey.
Preceded in death by: parents, George Max and Anna Dueitt; brother, Randy Dueitt; brothers-in-law: Kenneth "Twiggy" Beard and Buddy "Butch" Dial.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Archie Holley and Rev. James Bice officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Cemetery, Leakesville, MS.

I got to know Mr. Deuitt through the many videos shared by his daughter, Donna, on her YouTube channel. I admired his kindness and sense of humor, which shone through many times, as well as his sincerity. He was always smiling, always loving on little Toby Jean, and he never failed to show up for Donna when she needed him; even as recently as last week he made the effort to shave with the new electric razor that Donna got for him. The love he had for everyone around him was always right up front. I know he will be dearly missed. Donna, please accept my deepest sympathies to you, Ms. Deb, and your whole family in this bittersweet time. May the Lord comfort you all and gently heal your grief, and encourage you with the certain joy that you all will meet again one day.

With love and sympathy,
