Edward Tyrone Mitchell was born October 30 1956 at Fitkin Hospital Neptune NJ
And died June 20 2025 at Lyons Veteran Hospital Lyons NJ
Edward died suddenly and unexpectedly
Edward Tyrone Mitchell was life-long resident of Asbury Park,NJ
Was a honorably discharged disabled veteran of United States Marine Corp.
Edward (Ty) was a kind and loving person
Had a heart filled with generosity
Possessed a sociable and engaging nature
Welcomed all to be his friend
Ty had a strong love of family
Ty was always a natty dresser...suit and jacket a priority on all occasions
Ty loved music. Motown 60's was he favorite
During hospitalizations at Lyons VA he built a wealth of friendships and left a indelible mark
With Doctors, medical staff, and faculty
From early age Ty had a astute and savvy mind
Always working without pause in his favor
His restlessness and fearlessness took him on many excursions across the country
With limited belongings and his adventurous nature...you could find him in
California, Chicago, pretty much anywhere after exhausting his funds
Ty gave spiritual nourishment proper place in his life
He was avid reader of the Bible
Read numerous Watchtower Publications, read his Morning Text
Studied and converse with his elder sister Merline on many bible topics at great length
To garner a clear understanding
Ty's health issues did not define him as a person...he was his own man
His issues were only a little part of who he was
He loved God...And we know God loved him
Edward is predeceased by his mother (Alma) and father (Edward Red) Mitchell
Eldest sister Jeanette Mitchell, brother Allen Mitchell, Nephew Christopher Mitchell
He leaves surviving...Loving sisters Merline (Robert) Johnson of Asbury Park NJ
Deborah Mitchell Greensboro, NC, Wanda Pouncjie Asbury Park NJ,
Anna ( John Lee ) Reid
Nephews Jeffrey Mitchell, Robert Johnson Jr, Kian Johnson, Gregory Mazcyk,
John Reid Jr, Alan Marquise Mitchell, Scott Pouncjie Nieces Queana Johnson, Shameica Searight,
Ebony Pouncjie ( Walter ) Charisse Reid,
Loving adopted sister Tammi Cooper
and host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, close family friends
Cousin Virginia Murphy and family, our surviving cousins in Norwalk Connecticut
