Edward Nixon Obituary

Edward S. Nixon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home in Hamilton, NJ. Born on January 20, 1963, in Trenton, NJ, Ed's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for his work, and his love for the simple pleasures in life.
Son of the late John H. Nixon and Rita Ann Sweeney Cox; father of the late Blake Nixon; Ed's life was further enriched by his marriage to his loving wife of 19 years, Debra (nee Johnson) Nixon. Together, they created a beautiful family, including six children: Heather, Patrick (Skylar), Kenny, Jimmy McDonnell, Kevin, and Alexis Nixon. He is survived by his three brothers, Johnny (Bitsy), Jeffrey (Pauline), and Christopher Nixon. Ed's joy multiplied with the arrival of his seven grandchildren, Darren, Ray-Ray, Ariana, Jaxon, Levi, Brynlee, and Ava, who brought him immeasurable happiness; his nieces and nephews, Paige, Amanda, Johnny, Quentin, Richie and Christopher; and his longtime childhood friend, George Sexton.
Professionally, Ed was a respected member of the Local 9 Union Hall in Englishtown, NJ. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
Beyond his work, Ed had a zest for life that was contagious. He was an avid fisherman, finding solace and joy in the quiet moments by the water. Wrestling matches were a source of excitement and entertainment for Ed, who never lost his childlike enthusiasm for the sport. His interest in cars was more than a hobby; it was a passion that he shared with friends and family, often leading to lively discussions and cherished memories.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10AM to 12PM, at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ. A memorial service will follow at 12PM, at the funeral home.
