NEW PALESTINE – Edward S. Williams, age 87, of New Palestine, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He was born in Indianapolis on March 30, 1938 to Claude and Christina (Williams) Williams. He graduated from Mt. Comfort High School in 1956. He went on to earn his bachelors in 1960 from Indiana Central College and his masters from Purdue University. Edward married Nancy (Pollard) on October 10, 1992 in Indianapolis.
He began his career as an auditor with the Indiana Farm Bureau Co-Op. Over the years, he also worked in management as a financial advisor for CountryMark, AG1, and Harvest Land. He retired from Farm Bureau Co-Op in 2013, with 53 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Hancock Masonic Lodge #101 in Greenfield. Edward enjoyed traveling across the United States and cherished spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Indianapolis Colts, and the New Palestine High School Dragons. Ed enjoyed antique tractors and collecting toy trains. He also had a deep appreciation for lifelong learning.
Edward is survived by his wife, Nancy Williams of New Palestine; children, Chris (Tracy) Rogers of Noblesville and Susan (Dan) Bauman of Valparaiso, IN; step-children, Cindy Parker of Greensburg, IN, Susan (Paul) Ho of Carmel, IN and Patrick (Tonya) Parker of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Jonathan, Brent (Megan), Tyler (Kierstin), Kathleen, Natalie, Meredith, Josh (Kara), Nancy (Robbie), Logan, Hannah, Aaron, and Liam; great-grandchildren, Carmen, Emerson, Colton, Phoenix, Cheyanne, Kenneth, and Aiden; sister, Arlene (Gary) Sparks of Greenfield; step-brother, Ivan (Pat) Nading of Greensburg, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Christina Williams; stepmother, Edell Williams; mother of children, Judith Williams.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
