Isabel Eileen Argo, born June 5, 1944, in Tacoma, Washington, was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Known for her faith, loyalty, and generous spirit, Eileen was a pillar of strength and support to those fortunate enough to know her. She was a beloved resident of the town of Carbonado, where her resolute faith and radiant love for her family and community left an indelible mark.
Eileen dedicated her professional life to educating children. As a 1st grade teacher in Carbonado, she taught generations of students, teaching not only important skills but also kindness and character. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, attending garage sales with her husband, watching Jeopardy, and showering her grandchildren with love and support. Eileen was a loyal member of Carbonado Community Church, where her Christian faith was nourished and deepened. Family and God were her unwavering priorities.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband, Donald Argo; their treasured children, Doug (Noel) Argo, Jer (Gina) Argo, Gina (Chris) Torres, and Jon (Lisa) Argo; her loyal brother, Rod (Cathy) Youngs; and her supportive sister, Pam (Jerry) Schmitz. Eileen's legacy also lives on through her 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and the multitude of friends, colleagues, and students whose lives she enriched. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Hollis and Eleanor Youngs.
A celebration of Eileen's life will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 1:00 pm PDT at Carbonado Community Church, 150 3rd Street Northwest, Carbonado, Washington, 98323. We invite you to share your memories and photographs of Eileen on her memorial page, as we honor and remember this extraordinary woman who exemplified graciousness, faith, and unconditional love.
