Eileen Caldwell, a radiant soul whose laughter and love touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on July 18, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents, Weldon and Maryann Webster, whose warmth and resilience shaped her generous spirit.
Eileen’s heart was fullest when surrounded by her beloved grandchildren, whom she spoiled with stories, hugs, and her signature goofy faces—captured in every photo, much to everyone’s delight. The perfect summer evening for Eileen was a trip up any canyon in Utah with Oscar-Meyer hotdogs, buns and some roasting sticks for a quiet evening in the mountains with her family. A passionate traveler, she explored the world with wide-eyed wonder, from the beaches of Hawaii to the serene shores of her most treasured place, Hebgen Lake in Montana. There, she found solace in the gentle lapping of the water and the endless sky, often saying it was where her soul felt most at home. Her career spanned over 30 years at Mountain America Credit Union, where she retired as a beloved colleague, known for her dedication and knack for making every customer feel like family. Eileen will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to have made her acquaintance or shared her shining brilliance!
She is survived by her three devoted sons, David Michael Caldwell (Brandy), Christopher Daniel Caldwell (Emily), and Mitchell Weldon Caldwell (Brenda); her thirteen adored grandchildren, nine beloved great grandchildren and a community of friends who cherished her infectious joy. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service to honor Eileen’s extraordinary life will be held on July 7, 2025. The viewing will be held between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm at Memorial Mountain View Estates (3115 E 7800 S, Cottonwood Heights, UT.). Funeral service to be held immediately after, at graveside at 2:00pm.
