Elaine M. Audet, 73, passed away at her home in Princeton on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1951 to the late Clarence Joseph and Fernande "Ferne" Marie Jeanne Theriault Arsenault. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her brother, David Arsenault.
Elaine was a remarkable, devoted military wife of 55 years to Larry Audet, treasuring their love, respect and care for each other while following him to other states and countries. She was a caring mother to their son, Brian Audet and his wife, Jennifer of Martinsburg, WV. Memere, as Elaine was so fondly called, is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and step grandchildren; Brittany Fraser (Niall), David Audet (Carter), Sarah Silverstein, Justin Audet (Oliva), Ashleigh Audet and Faith Audet. Grand Memere is affectionately remembered by her great grandchildren; Wyatt Fraser and Grayson Fraser. Additionally, Elaine is survived by her sisters, Sharon Bouchard, Mary Ferran (Herbie), Melinda Nelson (Pete), and Cathy Nadeau (Steve) and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
After graduating from Winslow High School in 1969, Elaine married and started moving with Larry to where the military sent them. She worked various administrative/financial positions throughout his many assignments. When they returned to Maine, Elaine started as Winslow High School's Secretary. After a period, Elaine was employed by the Maine Public Employees Retirement System until her retirement in 2009.
While Elaine loved to travel, family meant everything to her. She loved spending time and spoiling her grandchildren. Elaine enjoyed being with family at Camp on China Lake, Maine. She took pleasure in gardening, working on puzzles, and a great glass of wine. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew her.
There will be no formal services at this time.
The family respectfully request no flowers for memorial donations be made.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.caseyfh.com.
