Eleanor L. Williamson
August 20, 1936 – July 2, 2025
Eleanor L. Williamson, 88, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, surrounded by love.
Born on August 20, 1936, in Danville, Pennsylvania, Eleanor was the beloved daughter of the late Merle and Dorothy Gilbert. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend, Eleanor lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
Eleanor's love for the Lord was evident in everything she did. As a dedicated member of Flagler West Community Church, a Southern Baptist congregation, she found great joy in worship and fellowship. Her faith was her compass-guiding her through life's challenges with grace, and lifting others with her gentle spirit and unwavering belief in God's promises.
She found peace and purpose in gardening and crafting, creating handmade treasures that were more than just art-they were acts of love. Whether it was a homemade card, a hand-sewn gift, or a seasonal decoration, Eleanor's creativity brought joy to all who knew her. Her home was always a warm, welcoming place filled with laughter, prayer, and the smell of something delicious cooking in the kitchen.
Eleanor's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a loving mother to her eight children: Carol Williamson LeBel of Bunnell, FL, James Williamson of Grampian, PA, Barbara Williamson Muller of Williamsport, PA, Margaret Williamson Palmer of Lima, OH, Robert Williamson of Vestal, NY, Joseph Williamson of Williamsport, PA, Nancy Williamson Radford of Jacksonville, FL.
She was also a cherished sister to Thomas Gilbert of Williamsport, PA, Richard Gilbert, James Gilbert of Williamsport, PA
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Williamson La Pointe; siblings, Ronald Gilbert, Nancy Gilbert Thompson, David Gilbert, Robert Gilbert, and Joseph Gilbert.
Eleanor leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and extended family carry her memory forward in every kind word, every act of service, and every prayer whispered heavenward.
"Her children rise up and call her blessed..." - Proverbs 31:28
