Eleanore Francis Myers, affectionately known as "Tinker" by her friends and "Nor-Nor" by her nieces and nephews, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Eleanore was born on August 31, 1957, in Wainwright, Alaska. She came to Fred and Kay Myers as their first foster child when she was a toddler and was adopted by them a few years later, becoming the first of their five children.
Eleanore is preceded in death by her mother, Kay Myers.
She is survived by her father, Fred Myers, brothers Lee (Tracy) Myers and Andy Myers, sisters Katy (Todd) Nichoalds and Christie (Jay) Reed, her nephews Jordan, Drew (Kylee), Tony Lee, and Taylor, her nieces EmKay (Tommy), KC, Teagan, and Trinity, and her soon-to-be-born great-niece Eloise. Eleanore loved her nieces and nephews very much and was fiercely protective of her "babies." She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished her deeply.
Despite her height limitations, Eleanore lived a fully independent life. She worked as a seamstress and process server, learned to drive, and maintained her independence until 2014 when she was medically unable to live on her own. Despite this, Eleanore remained positive. She loved to laugh, tell jokes, play online games with others, and mostly drink Dr. Pepper! Her family couldn't wait to get their annual "Happy Birthday" call from Eleanore as it was sure to make you smile. She brought laughter and joy into the lives of everyone she met, and she never met a stranger. Eleanore was a life-long member of Rosedale Baptist Church.
Services will be held at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Highway 5 North, Bryant, AR on Friday, February 21, 2025, with visitation at 1:00 pm and funeral at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow immediately at Forrest Hills Cemetery, 10200 Highway 5, Alexander, AR.
A full celebration of Eleanore's life will be held at a later date, where we will remember her with smiles and laughter and great stories.
