Elisa Scali Obituary

Elisa (Furfaro) Scali, 85, of Somerville, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. Born on October 18, 1939, in Roccella Ionica, Reggio Calabria, Italy, Elisa was a woman of incomparable beauty, magnetic charm, and a heart that touched every life she encountered.
Family was the center of Elisaâ??s world. She was the glue that held everyone togetherâ??passionate, selfless, and fiercely devoted to the people she loved. Her presence lit up every room, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 64 years, Salvatore Scali, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Elisa was a cherished mother to Maria, Susan and her husband Naz, and Giovanni and his wife Roberta. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Azad and his wife Ashley, Salvatore, Elisa, and Briana and fiancé Dan, and a doting great-grandmother to Naz and Luca.
Elisa is also survived by her dear siblings: Pino and his wife Maria, Susanna and her husband Nino, and Tony and his wife Lucy; as well as her beloved sister Teresa and husband Ernesto, who she joins in heaven. She adored her many nieces and nephews, who always held a special place in her heart.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Sunday, August 3rd, from 4 to 7 PM and again on Monday morning at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 118 High St., at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Elisaâ??s warmth, strength, and enduring love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
